Proverbs 24

[24:3] Though Wisdom is built a house; and with understanding it is established; and by knowledge the rooms will be filled with all riches precious and pleasant.

[24:3] Though Wisdom is built Her house; and with understanding it is made a home; and by knowledge the rooms will be filled with all riches precious and pleasant.

First comes wisdom, then understanding followed by knowledge.

not Do envy men of evil, and not do desire to be with them. For violence meditates their heart; and mischief their lips speak. Through wisdom is built a house; and with understanding it is established; and by knowledge the rooms will be filled with all riches precious and pleasant. a wise warrior (is) in strength; and a man of knowledge firms up might. For with wise advice you shall make for yourself war; and deliverance (is) by the great counselor. (is) too high for a fool Wisdom; in the gate not he does open his mouth. He who devises to do evil, to him a lord of evil plots shall be called. the plot of foolishness (is) sin; and (is) hateful to men the scorner. (if) you faint in the day of distress (is) marrow your might. Deliver those being taken to death, and those stumbling for killing; unless you hold back. for you say, behold, not we did know this, does not He who weighs the hearts consider it? And the keeper of your soul, (does) he know? And He repays to a man according to his work? Eat, my son, honey for (it is) good; and the comb is sweet on your palate; so (shall) knowledge of wisdom (be) to your soul; when you have found that there is a hereafter and your hope not is cut off. not do lie in ambush, o wicked, at the abode the righteous; not do violate his resting place; for seven (times) falls a just one and rises again; but the wicked shall stumble into evil. When falls your enemy not do rejoice; and when he stumbles not do let be glad your heart; lest see Jehovah and (it) (be) evil in His eyes, and He turn away from him His anger not Do grow (in anger) because of evil doers, (and) do not envy the wicked; for not there shall be a here after to the evil; the lamp of the wicked shall be put out. Fear Jehovah, my son, and the King; with those who change not do associate. For suddenly shall rise their woe; and the ruin of both of them who knows? Also these (are) for the wise; to respect faces in judgement not (is) good. He who says to the wicked righteous you (are) shall curse him the people; shall abhor him the nations. But to those who rebuke it is pleasant; and on them comes a blessing good. the lips He shall kiss that return words straight. Prepare outside your work; and make it ready in the field, for you; afterwards, even build your house. not do be a witness causelessly against a neighbor, or deceive with your lips; not do say, As he has done to me, so I will do to him; I will repay to (each) Man according to his work. over the field of the man lazy I passed, and by the vineyard of the man heartless; and lo, it was grown up, all of it with thistles; had covered its surface nettles; and wall its stone was broken down. And I beheld; I set my heart; I looked I received instruction; A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to lie down; then comes walking about your poverty; and your want like a man (with) a shield.

Proverbs 2

[2:10 – 12] When enters wisdom into your heart; and knowledge to your soul is pleasing; discretion shall keep you; understanding shall watch over you to deliver you from the way evil; from the man speaking perverse things.

Proverbs 2

Proverbs 2

My son, if you will receive my words, and my commands hide with you, so that you bow to wisdom your ear. you shall extend your ear to understanding; for, understanding you cry, for understanding lifting up your voice; if you seek her as silver, and as hidden treasures you search for her; then you shall know the fear of Jehovah, and the knowledge of God find.

For Jehovah gives wisdom, from His mouth (are) knowledge and understanding. And He lays up for the upright sound wisdom; (He is) a shield, for those walking in integrity, to guard the paths of judgement; and the way of His saints He guards.

Then you shall understand righteousness and judgement and honesty, every path good. When enters wisdom into your heart; and knowledge to your soul is pleasing; discretion shall keep you; understanding shall watch over you to deliver you from the way evil; from the man speaking perverse things, the one leaving the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness; rejoicing to do evil; they delight in the perversities of the evil; whose paths (are) crooked, and (are) devious in their tracks

(These) will deliver you from the woman strange, from the foreigner (by) her words flattering; who forsakes the guide of her youth, and the covenant of her God forgets.

For leads down to death her house, and to the dead her tracks. All going in to her not return; and not they reach the paths of life. In order that you may walk in the paths of the good, and the paths of the righteous may keep. For the upright shall dwell (in) the land; and the blameless shall remain in it. But the wicked from the earth shall be cut off; and the treacherous shall be rooted up from it.

Proverbs 1

Wisdom is a she

[1:20] wisdom in the street cries aloud; in the square she give her voice

[20] wisdom cries aloud in the plaza; she gives her voice in the square

Proverbs 1

Proverbs 1

The Proverbs of Solomon, son of David , king of Israel; to know wisdom and instruction to understand the words of understanding; to receive instruction in prudence rightness and judgement and uprightness; to give to the simple prudence; to the young man knowledge and discretion.

Hears the wise and increases learning, and the understanding wise counsel will get to understand a proverb and an enigma and the words of the wise and their riddles. The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of knowledge; wisdom and instructions fools despise.

Hear, my son, instructions your fathers; and not do forsake teachings your mothers, for an ornament of grace they are to your head, and necklaces for your neck.

My son, if lure you sinners; not do be willing. If they say, walk with us, let us lie in wait for blood; let us lurk for the innocent without cause; let us swallow them as Sheol alive; and whole, as those going into the pit. All wealth precious we shall find; we shall fill our houses with spoil. your lot let fall with us; purse one shall be for all of us.

My son, not do walk in the way with them! Hold back your foot from their path; for their feet to evil run, and they hasten to shed blood. For in vain is spread the net in the eyes of every lord of the wing. And they for their own blood lie in wait; they lurk secretly for their own souls. So are the ways of everyone who gets unjust gain; the soul of his owner takes.

Wisdom in the street cries aloud; in the square she gives her voice. At the head of the common places she calls; at the opening of the gates; in the city her words she speaks: Until when, simple ones, you will love simplicity? And scorners scorn will desire for them? And fools will hate knowledge?

Turn back at my warning; behold, I will pour out to you my spirit; I will make known my words to you. Because I have called, and you refused I extend a hand yet none inclines. And you ignored all my advice, and my warning not you wanted. Also I in your calamity will laugh; I will mock when comes your dread; when comes like a storm your dread; and your calamity like a tempest arrives; when comes upon you distress and constraint. Then they shall call on me and not I will answer; they shall seek me early but not shall find me. That they hated knowledge, and fear of Jehovah not chose. Not they want my counsel, they despised all my reproof; and they shall eat of the fruit of their own way, and with their own devices be filled. For the going astray of the simple slay them; and the ease of fools destroys them.

But one listening to me shall dwell securely, and shall be at ease from the fear of evil.
