Proverbs 5

My son, to my wisdom listen; to my understanding bow your ear; to keep discretion, and knowledge your lips may guard. For honey drip the lips of a strange women, and smoother than oil (is) her palate. But she afterwards (is as) bitter as wormwood, sharp as a sword of edges. Her feet go down (to) death; Sheol her steps take hold on. The path of life lest you ponder, are moveable her tracks not you can know (it). And now, O sons, hear me; and do not depart from the words of my mouth. Remove far from her your ways; and not do come near to the door of her house, lest you give to others your vigor, and your years to the cruel one; lest be filled strangers (with) your strength; and your toil in house an alien’s and you moan when your end (comes) when are consumed your flesh and muscle. And you say, How I have hated instruction! And correction despised my heart! and not I have obeyed the voice of my teachers and to those teaching me not turned my ear. As a little I was in all evil, in the midst of the assembly and congregation. Drink waters from your own cistern and flowing waters from the midst of your own well. Should be dispersed your springs outside in the streets (like) rivers of water? Let them be for you, you alone, and not for strangers with you. Let be your fountain blessed, and rejoice in the wife of your youth. (she is) a deer loving, and a doe graceful her breast let satisfy you at time every, in her love be ravished always. And why will you be ravished, my son by an alien women, and hug bosom a foreigner’s. For (are) before the eyes of Jehovah the ways of a man, and all his tracks He is pondering. His own iniquities will capture him, the wicked; and with the cords of his sin he shall be seized He shall die in absence of instruction and in greatness his folly’s he goes astray.
